Uganda | HVG | Summer

WHEN
Jul 11 2026 - Jul 22 2026
WHERE
Arua, UG
In light of the recent Ebola outbreak across eastern Congo and reported cases in Uganda, the U.S. State Department and W.H.O. have elevated the Ebola risk level from orange to red status. With this development, all summer mission trips in partnership with His Voice Global and Stonegate Fellowship have been canceled until further notice.

What to Expect

Who is Stonegate partnering with on this Mission?

Travel with Stonegate and His Voice Global as we walk alongside local Missionaries and HVG Staff to reach the most vulnerable in East Africa through HVG's four programs—Shine, Arise, Alive, and Thrive.

Shine: The Shine program is a holistic, integrative care program for the most vulnerable within the Arise Center
community. It was recognized that most Arise members had at least one family member with a disability. Through the Shine program, individuals with disabilities are provided with assistive/adaptive housing, physical therapy, medical devices, employment opportunities, food, and clean water filters for better quality of life.

Arise: The Arise Center was built in 2019 to provide a safe, accessible, and welcoming place for discipleship training of indigenous leaders. Arise also serves as a training venue, location for water purification, area for technological use for spreading the Gospel, place of employment, a rest stop for missionaries, and a meeting place for wellness classes.

Alive: The Alive program brings biblical discipleship and leadership trainings to indigenous people groups—often in communities who've experienced trauma. The Alive program is focused on spreading the Gospel and helping believers grow as Jesus's disciples into the abundant life He promises. These ministry hubs are often born from connections with "Shine Friends".

Thrive: The Thrive program provides financial and relational support for students pursuing higher education. Thrive invests in the lives of kids and young adults by hosting summer programs, providing educational opportunities, life guidance, and student sponsorships to those across Uganda, South Sudan, and Kenya.

The Mission – to raise leaders among the vulnerable in East Africa.

As a member of this team, your task will be the partner with HVG Staff on their daily program outreaches. You will deliver food and assistive devices to SHINE friends, offer care and encouragement to HVG missionary families, join Scripture Listening groups, show love to countless SHINE Friends, enjoy time of reflection and rest surrounded by the peace of God's creation at the Arise Center, and so much more!
